Developed by the USDA Forest Service Intermountain Research Station's Fire Science Laboratory in Missoula, MT, and sponsored by the National Wildfire Consulting Group and the USDA Forest Service, this database can be accessed by plant species, wildlife species, or kuchler type habitat. Information includes distribution and occurrence of each species/habitat, value and use, botanical and ecological characteristics, fire ecology and management, fire effects, and further references.

The Nature Conservancy Fire Management Manual

This fire manual was put together by the National Fire Management Program for the Nature Conservancy to use with their staff as a guide to controlled burning of natural habitats. The guidelines, instructions, and issues covered can be applied to most controlled burns.
