Nature Photography Group
For more than 20 years, members of Friends interested in nature photography have met at the Arboretum to sharpen their technical skills and share their work with fellow members. Members range from novice photographers to highly regarded nature photographers who have exhibited in various venues around the area -- and beyond.
The group currently meets at 7 p.m. in the Arboretum Visitor Center on the third Wednesday of each month from September through May. Programs are informative and inspiring and often feature guest experts. For more information, call 608-263-7760, or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
2014 Meeting Schedule
Wednesday, October 15, 2014: For the October FOA Photo Group meeting there has been a change of plans. One of the groups did not submit their images on time so the CD of images for judging will not be ready for the October meeting. So this is your chance to be part of the program. Please bring 10 - 15 of your favorite images from 2014, if possible, and be prepared to talk about why you like them.
Wednesday, November 19, 2012: For the November meeting, John Rummel returns with a program on the art of combining of interesting landscapes with sky phenomena. This talk focuses on adding interest to traditional astronomy targets by combining them with interesting foreground scenery, many of them Madison-centric. He wowed us with his images of the Apostle Islands lighhouses and the night sky, now he has turned his lens closer to home. Please come and learn about how he creates spectacular images. The meeting will be at 7 PM in the Visitor's Center and is open to anyone.
