Brush and Tree removal at Marion Dunn Pond this SummerFRIDAY, JULY 26, 2013
Ten years ago, this stormwater detention pond was dredged and new outlets to West Wingra Marsh were installed. Since that time, brush and trees have grown up on the pond berm.
Now, those are being removed to maintain the stability of the pond berm, and prevent leaves and woody debris from clogging the pond outlets.
When complete, the pond berm will return to its original low vegetation with a view of the Marsh and Lake Wingra.
