Prairie Trillium, _Trillium recurvatum_, in Gallistel Woods May 3, 2006. This rhizomatous perennial grows 6 inches to 2 feet tall and flowers in April and May. It can also be found in the Arboretum's Longenecker Gardens. The prairie trillium is a DNR species of special concern.
