Spring Wildflowers at the Arboretum

Virginia Bluebells, _Mertensia virginica_, in Gallistel Woods. This spring ephemeral grows 8 inches to 2 feet tall and sometimes carpets the forest floor. Flowers bloom in April and May. In the Arboretum, they can also be found in Noe and Wingra Woods.
