Spring Wildflowers at the Arboretum

Wild Strawberry, _Fragaria virginiana_, in northeast Curtis Prairie. Wild strawberry plants grow in a wide variety of habitats, but many people have never seen ripe berries. Animals, from squirrels to turkeys and turtles, usually find them first. They can be found throughout the Arboretum in woodland edges, prairies and savannas.
